We had the question on the table until recently as well.
The decisive factor for us was the condition of the property (and the good contact with the neighbor).
Our property is on two levels. In addition, the upper level has a slope with maybe a 20-degree incline.
Our neighbor bought a gasoline lawn mower, which we can use for the upper part of the property.
For the lower part of the property, we bought a gasoline brush cutter from Stihl. Who wants to carry a heavy lawn mower through the stairwell all the time? This brush cutter, in turn, can be used by our neighbor to maintain his slope from the street to the house.
Both are stored in the garden shed (both will have a key).
My wife would not be talked into a different brand (as a trained gardener, she just has her experience with Stihl).
Actually, I would have liked to have a battery-powered brush cutter because it is lighter and the battery can be charged using [Photovoltaik]. The battery runtime at full load is 15-20 minutes. So, you would possibly need 2 batteries. Thus, with a brush cutter + 2 batteries + charging station, you would reach a price that suddenly makes the already expensive gasoline brush cutter (compared to [Baumarktware]) look significantly cheaper.
For a lawn mower, a Viking could also have been an alternative for my wife.
