So, does one really have to be jealous if someone has apparently chosen the "better" path?
Jealousy? Well, it’s rather absent here. More like astonishment at structures that apparently neither know nor practice something like a "merit principle" or a "selection of the best."
Not that I wouldn’t wish something like that for someone.
this salary can be achieved right from the start.
Of course, as a STEM professional you can easily get that at entry level. What you rarely get here, though, is a "hey, your academic performance was so great, in 3 years you’ll definitely get 600 net more." Not even with the IGM.
