Is an air conditioner necessary in a south-facing location?

So a short "update":

The system has been ordered and will be installed by July 13th at the latest. The attic has already been cleared out, and by the weekend at the latest, I will lay the 3x4.0mm² cable from the fuse box to the chimney flues in the basement. They will do the rest of the way since they are coming down there anyway for the condensate drainage. I just have to drill a suitable hole through the approx. 60cm thick former exterior wall.

That was really quite fast, I must say. I'm looking forward to your further reports.

P.S. What is the total pipe length you have? I ask because the device is pre-filled for 30m of piping, the rest must be topped up with 20g per additional meter. I've heard some companies sometimes forget that. I hadn't done it (installed the system myself) because I misinterpreted the technical data. I took care of it quickly over the weekend; since then, we almost need winter clothes.

Well, whether you "forget" that. The motto being: It works like this anyway, right.

Let me lie, it's 31 or 32m! We'll see exactly after installation, but that’s the calculation and it should fit like that. But good point, I’ll keep an eye on it.

Yes, it’s really fast, although so far I can only report positive things. And you only find positive reviews online, the company has been family-owned since 1979 and is local. And so far, ALL statements have been technically excellent as far as I can judge. As I said, he said definitely a separate supply line and according to the calculation it should be 24A with 3x2.5 better 3x4.0.

And the idea also came from him to lead the condensate down into the basement and place the condensate pump there.

But yes, I’m happy to report!

So the first installation day is over and the very positive impression was confirmed. They had announced themselves for 8:30, at 8:28 they called to say they would be 10-15 minutes later because the painter's fleece was not delivered. Everything was laid out perfectly and then reviewed and discussed again. Yesterday they hung the indoor units and worked very cleanly and neatly. The access to the chimney in one room is perfectly covered by the unit and the access to the attic floor in the bedroom is also worked on very neatly.

I think today they will continue with the lines, I am curious to see how everything works out in the chimney, but we have three flues available. The installation of the 71kg heavy outdoor unit will also be exciting. It must be carried out by 4 men through the Velux roof window (the sash will be removed), the workers on the roof will be secured with harnesses (very exemplary). Let's see, so far the impression remains very good. Condensate is completely drained through the basement, only one indoor unit (bedroom) requires a condensate pump upstairs because one has to go over the attic there.
