On the other hand, I cool 70 sqm living room in an old building with 3.5 kW, half of it directly under the roof... With air conditioners, it’s like with heaters: you want to avoid cycling and rather cool continuously at low power.

A small stumbling block is still the protection of the outdoor unit, where 25A is specified with 2.5mm², better 4mm² supply cable. Unfortunately, the route from the fuse box is not that simple! Strangely, the second craftsman does not demand anything like that and also saw no problems on my inquiry, but actually wanted to include it on the conductor as it is.
