hm. What I notice: the windows on the side are somewhat simply designed in white, and those to the terrace are in wood. Have you also included these in your considerations? Should it remain inconsistent? I don’t find that bad at all, but maybe I would paint the sash windows.
The plaster still looks quite good. I would do nothing at first – if up close you think it needs painting, then do it. But replacing an intact, nice plaster with average plaster, I think, is wrong.
Here the question is whether the wood tone should remain or whether to go for white instead. Of course, it’s all a matter of taste ...
Neither!
The new door is white and has three square glass elements:
Can it still be reordered? ;) I hope it’s at least made of paintable wood and not plastic.
I am also the gray person. Gray looks subtly modern, but it’s not always the right choice.
If you want it a bit more modern, I would suggest:
First of all, replace the dull trellis left of the garage with a rectangular one. Next, in my opinion, also the reddish base: I would give it a dark gray.
The railings front and back, light gray, so it doesn’t stand out too much from the house. Without any “dark accents.” Maybe the railing in dark gray. Beams of the canopy also light gray. And now here’s the thing: front door and shed either deep black or another accent color, otherwise the house will become white-gray bland uniformity :)
Now with the new white windows without muntins, we have already somewhat changed the character and ideally want to continue that without losing harmony.
You have to be careful not to rob the house of all character!
