In some things I am already torn back and forth. On the one hand, I would not have chosen the aluminum railing in green/brown, on the other hand, I think that green is not so "bad" because it fits the surroundings and the trees and meadows around it are also green. After further consideration, I can no longer imagine gray on the house, precisely because it is currently the "mainstream." We did not make it easy for ourselves with the windows either. Previously, there were nice wooden windows with muntins installed in their own way. We did not want muntins, even though they are now internal. Some windows still look a bit bare, but we are confident that the barrenness – or the missing muntins – can be compensated for with decoration. That is why we thought of at least giving the windows a wood look with the foil. From the inside, we did not want a natural wood tone and we could not agree with two-tone windows. The choice of the front door was due to the interior doors, which we wanted to continue to the front door. Personally, I would classify the design as modern, but rather in the direction of "neutral modern." It is not the goal of the "restructuring" to turn the house into a gray/white city villa or to "throw something modern" over it! The houses shown in Post #25 are, in their own way, "beautifully" modern and the surroundings look "polished," just new. But that would not be my style. That is why I am already aware that with our house I want/must walk a certain tightrope.
