Now I see it too.. I hadn't fully opened the photo. Well then, especially in that case, you should be careful not to take away everything that makes the house what it is.

That is the least problem.

The mailbox and the house number as well as possibly the outdoor lamps are also part of the modernization/redesign.

Is it practical to paint a railing of this type (powder-coated) or does one get a new railing for the work?

It will already be white :(

My wife imagines the garden house in Swedish red...

Inside, gray tones dominate the picture. The living room and upper floor have gray floors, as I already showed in the house pictures thread. The bathrooms are gray too :)

I once had such things made of plastic – after cleaning with lye, they could be painted very well with good paint. Cost: no idea... 100€? If it absolutely does not hold, you can always do it new. Yes, then just take the Swedish red as an accent! It is a pity, however, that it would not be found again on the house. I only know your bare hallway ;) Inside I would always consider things differently than outside. Different color rules apply there – often there are of course connections, like the modern design of the terrace, relating to lawn and nature.

We just haven’t put anything on the walls yet :( :) (Except for our first picture in the kitchen ...)

That you’re not sparing with decoration, we’ve known at the latest since the last pictures in the house pictures thread. :)

You also know almost all the other rooms, since I’ve already introduced them in the house pictures thread :)

You also know THAT chair ...

An idea :)

Not yet :)

The coloring of the garden shed has been cleverly combined by the previous owners with the coloring of the railing

I can see the matter won’t be simple ...

The main thing is that it’s not too late yet ...

Basically, the following question arises first:

The house is to receive a new coat of paint (facade and roof overhangs) and in the process, the facade will be repaired.

Is it "worth" replacing the plaster with a more modern (?) smoother plaster, as this probably (?) fits better with the windows?

Replacing the terrace railing would be a shame in terms of material, as it is only a few years old. Can it be recolored with reasonable effort or is the effort too great?

Certainly, if the painters are already on site, it would be easy to redesign the base in the process.
