Of course, you can minimize the risk. A colleague also said he had done that, but in fact, his house now stands halfway on a rock, additional costs in the five-figure range...

yes.. as I said, I am unaware.. Maybe the big providers, if they sell a property along with land, also have something like a [Bodengutachten] included... no idea.

Soil survey costs 600 € - if you are really interested in a property, the seller will surely not refuse to let you do it. I also said reduce - and Bauexperte does not write without reason that you should keep 10,000 € in reserve - completely without purpose, exactly for such nonsense.

yes...okay...thanks for the tips...

Does anyone have a plan on how much money you can save on which interior finishing work if you do it yourself? Like...

Insulating = 5k materials + 2k labor, so theoretically you could save 2k...

Then you could still decide what is worth how much to you. I know many people who almost completely renovate themselves, an expansion house would be a luxury starting point compared to everything they had to do

How much help you can get from whom is of course another matter and also has to be very well planned, with a lot of buffer etc.. because things can still go wrong, so you might have to have it done after all, for example... that’s clear to me too.

Maybe you should take some time and browse and read up on knowledge in the forum outside of your thread. Your many questions have been discussed here multiple times in the past and will also be asked by others in the future, but then it is also a current phase.

Laying tiles approx. €30-40 / m²
Laying laminate approx. €10 / m²
Underfloor heating (laying and connecting pipes) approx. €10 / m²
Electrical installation approx. €5000
Dry construction attic approx. €2500
Sanitary installation (i.e., installing washbasin, toilet, bathtub, etc.) approx. €600

These are approximate prices we were reimbursed by our general contractor because we did it ourselves (1.5 floors plus basement; approx. 145 m² living area).
