yes..I am not an addict after all I just put it on a health insurance card that is otherwise not used.

I have parallel fund savings plans for the child later, I let that remain untouched...

Yes, I always notice this when there actually is cash, for example for birthdays or Christmas I only get cash as a gift. These 50 euros are always gone very quickly, and I’m amazed every time how fast it goes. When I then calculate backwards, I can’t explain where the money went (Three trips to the bakery really that expensive??). With debit card it’s very simple, you don’t have to collect receipts but see in the transactions whether you spent the money on gas or food. My banking program also has an evaluation function by categories, but for that you’d have to assign each transaction to a category, for which I lack time/motivation but theoretically you could refine it further.

There are various programs that do this automatically. I had already mentioned one here in the thread, but there are many more. Then you have no work with it at all. If you think something is categorized incorrectly, you can also change rules. I even use it to the extent that I transfer cash withdrawals to a "cash account" and then enter what I remember. That way you can also nicely see how much money you spend without knowing what for.

I use Quicken. Very good. Cash withdrawals are categorized under Miscellaneous for me. And I know that cash is only spent at the baker or snack bar...

Do you have 10,000 consumer credit plus student loan plus BAföG or 10,000 all-in?
