Why not use a landscape architect who plans everything and then coordinates the construction with the individual trades?
That is one option, or rather - would have been an option. Someone like that should have been involved at the beginning of the preliminary planning. My mistake was that at first I relied on the statements of two landscape gardeners who said: "Why are you already bringing this up now? Once the shell is up and the roof is on, you can slowly start making inquiries." The one who made the offer later told me that the involvement was quite late. Unfortunately, I only came across him later through my new neighbor. He also had everything done by them and they also take care of the maintenance. Every other week, a truck from the landscape gardener is parked in front of the door. However, he was still able to save many things, such as appropriate electrical preparation leading out into the garden, coordination for the provision of water outside, etc.
In terms of cost, I believe involving such an architect would probably be on a different level than the general contractor all-inclusive package. He is also billed according to HOAI. I will inquire about this out of interest. If I then see that, in the end, it is indeed likely to be more expensive, then there is no need for great comparisons with the current provider. Because I am very confident that he will implement it very well.
