The original comment was not from me, but I am sure that this is exactly what was meant. However, I do not share the concerns. Above the main window at the top of the plan, the overhang caused by the balcony is only about 1 meter. That should hardly interfere with the sunlight exposure. In winter, the sun is low anyway, and in summer you don't really want that much sun in the house. Especially with hillside houses, I often see terraces/balconies on the ground floor (street level), which often have an even larger overhang over the hillside floor than just 1 meter.Or do you mean darkening caused by the balcony above?
Many of my acquaintances thought so too, until they have been spending 24 hours a day with the whole family in the house since Corona. But even long before Corona: I think there should always be two doors between the social living room and the children's bedroom. I remember myself how often I annoyedly closed the living room door in the evening during my childhood, especially when my parents had guests there.Honestly, I find soundproofing a bit silly in a single-family house.
