The door opening outward could not be done otherwise. Due to the dimensions of the hallway and the staircase, the door could not be properly opened inward or it would be very tight with an inward-opening door.Fine!, yes, "that's how it should be" :) This is an exemplary ratio of land to building, and there was still money left for a handsome gate. What a relief compared to all those pathetic pseudo-villas, where the house, except for the terrace, only leaves a tiny crumb of dirty corner of the property after the building was crammed on it. But this way, you can call it an "estate," Higgins would be proud of you. However, the front door opening outward would be a tad too much understatement for me.
