And there are many things I wouldn’t want either, like for example that you usually stand right in the middle of the living room when you enter through the front door …

It’s also amazing how cheap the prices are for all the renovations they do there

I don’t quite understand your point, probably almost everyone here works (or is only temporarily on parental leave), somehow these beautiful cabins have to be financed :) But some are simply more interested in furnishing or decorating and like to occupy themselves with that in their free time (while others sit in front of the TV, dig in the garden, or ride their bike). Others, like good Joanna or this lavender lady, have turned this interest into a profession and make money spending all day dealing with these matters. I find it quite normal that Ms. Gaines only decorates a bit at the end, she pulled the whole thing together and now besides her children also has to run the TV show, so the preliminary work is delegated to the staff just as a chief physician also no longer sews every stitch himself at the end.

Regarding the wall cabinets in the kitchen, there are also designs without them and with loose shelves that I like very much, and there are certainly people who don’t need the storage space so much. But we also really like to cook and simply have a few things I prefer to put in a wall cabinet rather than the basement (baking pans, fondue set, wok). Aside from the fact that I don’t like dusting and that would be my personal horror with shelves full of decorative items or cereal containers :) A small step stool would be needed in every kitchen anyway, since unfortunately with 1.58 m I belong rather to the short ones :)

The American style can never be transferred one to one to German houses because dimensions, floor plans, and things like built-in cupboards differ. But style elements such as cassette molding in the kitchen, white baseboards, kitchen islands, or certain lamps can be adopted very easily and some just like them better than, for example, the ever-popular concrete look in German kitchens :)

That's a company and what we see is just advertising ;) They have, if I'm not mistaken or confusing it, an online shop.
