Hehe, I didn’t really find the comment harsh because it’s true, I like both old Munich coffee houses and American houses, but unlike that construction company I think it’s good and I exactly understand what it’s about (most floor plans of a classic American house simply don’t work for us either). What bothered me more was this “what the farmer doesn’t know, he won’t eat” attitude and since the mass taste in Germany unfortunately does not lean toward American houses, it gets very tiring very fast if you have to justify your taste in every tile/bathroom/furniture store. I’m just not sure yet if I want to subject myself to that again voluntarily in a forum :) The interior will go in the direction of modern country house/classical old building, I like Joanna Gaines but for our project it’s a tad too much farmhouse. If you know “Studio McGee” on Netflix, that would be my dream idea, American but more reduced. Since my husband also wants to live in our house, I have to deviate a little bit from my dream here and there, but that’s part of it, agreeing on what both like. The comment is harsh and at the same time accurate. But should a builder be forced to build a coffee grinder with Smoked Eyes just because the building plot does not allow the size of the American dream? I think it’s good that you incorporated elements you like while at the same time paying tribute to the limited building plot. You were creative and are building your dream. The house looks stately, unlike some of those pseudo-villas. What will the interior design look like? Something like Joanna Gaines.
