Maybe you better sneak back to your own thread instead of confusing the OP here. In the end, it doesn't matter where you plan the costs now. The only question is, do you have the money overall? Just the house for 450K with 190m² is certainly okay.

Well, you always stand there when you're working in the kitchen. And the older you get, the more often you cook too – even as a man. Why should I literally block my view and look at such a stupid door instead of into the garden or at least the room where the rest of the family is hanging out? Of course, looking at the door is not bad. But for me, that would be one of the gimmicks that would make the house very special and bring a certain charm.

I believe we all agree that it is nicer. We only differ in opinion on how much nicer.

Christmas roast and chlorine? What kind of things are you up to? I agree with you, I only had this room assignment in mind for myself. Ultimately, it’s not purely a pantry, more of a storage room. For example, there’s also a vacuum cleaner in there. The HAR in the plan is really only for building technology and thus rarely accessed. Upstairs there is a separate utility room anyway, so half of the chlorine can go there, so it doesn’t spoil the roast too much.

Of course, I would prefer a more accessible HAR despite the intended use. But it seems to me that the sacrifice would be relatively large, for example, the area would have to come from the AZ, so I could quite live with the tasteless version.

Who says you have to look in the direction of the door? You assume that the window is at your back... then you look at the tall cabinets or a bare wall, all solid. That can also have a calming effect.

But you can also work towards the window here: it depends on the arrangement of the kitchen elements - and the attitude towards cooking itself.

By the way, that’s why we set the kitchen island at an angle. Our kitchen is sterile white and in a grid - the diagonal breaks the formality and allows for some dynamics. Also, since everything is open in our case, just like here, you don’t create a corridor in the kitchen.

The Christmas roast in the pantry is probably less unusual than a surprise door for a locked utility room in the guest bathroom. I would rather have the door exit from the study.
Which brings me to the question of why you need such a gigantic study? Are you a circus artist and set up your trapeze there?
