Me too, that has improved a lot.

The meter would definitely be possible. But putting the sofa against the north wall doesn’t work, where would the TV be then…?

On a wall that has not yet been marked.
Regarding the living room, I think something completely different would be better. But I don't have a suggestion for that yet.
As it is now, the living room is rubbish.

Thanks for the direct statement, even though I don't see it that way.

I will still continue to think about it.

But if Aunt Yvonne steals a meter of their room because it makes the living room have a slimmer footprint, is that also still okay with them? That seems a bit overrated to me here. The staging of the stairs must not suffer at all from the cleverness that it apparently starts on one hip and widens as it goes up. I thought that too, but with less significance. The peeing guest and the gas meter reader will not encounter each other significantly more often than Halley's Comet and the Earth.

Here I am still undecided. Whether with masonry in the stairwell or rather open, my wife and I will probably have to have another conference and let examples affect us.

Especially if you take our zero expected guests absolutely literally! I was more concerned about possible structural or legal restrictions and exactly the fact whether a second door in the small guest WC looks strange.

Quickly done. Keep the approach as much as possible. The goal was to widen the kitchen and make it more homely. To remove the view from the kitchen island towards the pantry. To enlarge the master bathroom so it is not so tight. Also to adjust the stairs to fit. The pantry could be made smaller for even more space in the living room, but the living room depth is already over 4m.

For the wastewater disposal, the children’s bathroom and storage might possibly swap places. A professional has to decide that. If not necessary, of course light in the bathroom is nicer. I am also with the OP regarding the children’s rooms concerning the view from the neighboring building. As a young girl, it would have bothered me very much if the neighbor looked in on me. Not so much anymore now.

Overall, I kept the external dimensions (9x16), although there is certainly some potential to save there. I have the feeling money is not really an issue – so why not plan big?
