Clear YES/NO You can tell there's a certain "something more" when the architect puts thought into it and the design isn't just a series of rooms. Form follows function but it should also look nice. Clear YES For me, a house must welcome the visitor and provide the resident with comfortable living. That also includes "everything functioning." Think about your daily routine, imagine how it could look in the house, how it works for you! It will work out, don't get stuck on planning.

Frightening how much time has passed. A lot has happened in the meantime; since last year, we have completed the general contractor selection, clarified the financing, submitted the building application, and are currently in the final phase of the floor plan design.

Attached is the current status, which mostly fits. Only the following notes:

- We will initially leave out the sliding door on the ground floor, but will have the wall opening prepared.
- The children's bathroom on the upper floor will still be changed with regard to the shower. The one drawn in was not agreed upon.
- The wastewater planning is not correct yet either…

(Oh yes, the orientation has changed, as can be seen from the aspect ratio. I did not want to impose turning your head just to maintain the original orientation. Street on the left side of the plan, garden on the right side. Neighbors above and below)

Currently, we are mainly waiting for the building permit.

The kitchen seems insanely large to me now. Do you really want 2 kitchen units with an island in the middle? You’ll end up walking yourself off your feet, almost like in a commercial kitchen. Are you such mega-chefs? I would rather give the living room more space.

The kids' bathroom is supposed to be new. I would make sure that it borders as little as possible on the kids' room, especially not the toilet.

The door from the utility room to the hallway is, in my opinion, too far to the left side of the plan. The start of the stairs protrudes 1 step behind the wall. I would find that annoying. You could trip over it, and it doesn’t look nicer either, right?

Otherwise, I find it very nice. Are there any elevations as well?

Building application is in progress. The plans are in the KBA. That is how it will be. Largely.

The space we gained by eliminating the pantry on the house side was distributed almost equally to the dining area, kitchen, and living room. This makes all the rooms larger than we originally planned. I can gladly show the kitchen planning when I get the chance.

That’s not possible because of the toilet's wastewater. Since we are building with KS, I hope this will somewhat reduce the noise; a floor-to-ceiling cabinet will also be placed against the wall.

You mean at the top of the plan, right? (In the original plan orientation, it would have been on the left side.) That also bothers me somewhat, but a large wardrobe cabinet is planned on the bottom wall, which otherwise wouldn’t fit.

Thanks. I'll gladly look them up sometime.

Building authority? "Mostly" fits quite well, just like the plan in the building application largely corresponds to the one shown above.
