But then there isn't much house width left on the left and right of the staircase. And on the upper floor, a central staircase probably requires a larger hallway.
What I had also already seen and find quite interesting, if you think about it for a longer time: Living space on one side of the house, cooking/eating on the other end. Entrance possibly a bit more central on the eaves side, the rest wherever there is space.
Where are the sides/ends in the idea? I guess along the long side?
Hehe, no. So, for example, cooking/eating by the street, living by the garden. But with the narrow plot, probably not really the best idea. Needs 2 terraces. According to the motto: grilling in the front yard, sunbathing and pool behind the house.
Sorry, are we then not back to the original draft? Or I unfortunately don’t understand you. I just thought it looked nicer if the kitchen doesn’t appear so much like a passage and comes across wider.
I didn’t say the kitchen should be narrower. Only that the entrance to the kitchen should not be placed on the kitchen side, so that the living room can be designed a bit deeper. The pantry doesn’t have to be huge. However, you could also leave out the vestibule, have the open hallway leading directly to the stairs, and extend the stair wall to 4 meters (the one at the top of the plan), so the living room also benefits from this 4 meter wall. Between them, of course, as a buffer, the pantry and tall cabinets. Unfortunately, I currently have no opportunity to sketch.
