Floor plan of a single-family house just before final design - Please provide tips and advice

What comes to mind: light wells for basement windows are not (or rarely) planned near the terrace and terrace doors.

I tried Homebyme again over the rainy weekend. , everything works perfectly for me! Attached is an idea if you just want to use the ground floor later for yourself and don’t need a proper granny flat. Kitchen facing the garden, office as well. A large dining table fits in too and you get light from the south. Includes a glazed staircase. Unfortunately, the program can't do a roof, or I just don't get it. So it looks like a flat-roof house ;)

I like the sense of space in the design. The 3D images give such an amazing impression. However, the client wants a conservative kitchen with a separate seating area… The entrance should be closed off from the living area and the staircase probably should not be next to the sofa spot.

Certainly, the design is influenced by what I would like. ;) Of course, you could also close off the staircase with a wall and hang a door to the living room in front of it.

I myself have living and dining in one room and the kitchen a bit further away around the corner. However, this was due to the view of the garden, which is much more important to me when eating and living than from the kitchen. We are not really the cooking type who spend ages in the kitchen. Instead, I often sit on the sofa, rarely to watch TV but to chat or read. In principle, I would therefore find a (slightly) separate living room and a common space for kitchen and dining more fitting. If I were to build on a plot with a nice large garden on two sides and not just one, I would solve it that way. One is allowed to dream :D
