A kitchen connection to the terrace definitely makes sense. But as the only access to the garden and then around the corner? That would annoy me my whole life. Ultimately, everyone has to decide for themselves, but I consider that a planning mistake. Basically, you want to sit in the garden protected behind the house, not by the neighbor's fence or by the street.
