I like the rooms upstairs, for example. If I change the stairs, I won’t fit the rooms upstairs anymore.

What exactly is so nice about it? It can’t be the office. Child 2 with the hose entrance is okay but you won’t win any architectural awards for that either. You can’t stand at a sink without risking falling backwards into the tub. It’s not a disaster... but does it please you? Mmmh.

The granny flat is only part of the floor plan. That’s where our office and guest bathroom are.

However, I would design the layout of the granny flat differently. Arrange the kitchen as a long row along the wall towards the kitchen and incorporate it into the living, dining, and cooking area, creating a small extra bedroom. Otherwise, it really feels like a nursing home room. Storage space is of course not available, so it would really only be an emergency accommodation for special situations, as the space is not really suitable for care or a longer stay of a fit person.

Maybe someone has an idea for 2 beds. Folding out a sofa is hard to expect from elderly people.
