I don't know of any 1/4 turn staircases that end already at the orange line; instead, they extend about one step depth further in the exit direction

: Many thanks for your suggestions. By the way, we have already tried the second option exactly like that: This one is no longer an option for us because otherwise the driveway would become way too long (floor area ratio). Besides, we feel more comfortable if the living room is oriented towards the north (forest). Let’s establish: The slanted wall was nonsense. but, the solution from with the stairs might now solve our problem :-) Look: For comparison, the previous version (however, we would only implement that if the basement access can actually be done with a spiral staircase to the basement from the kitchen (see post 50 and before): What do you think? Closed staircase with access from the hallway or open staircase with access from the living room? With the open solution, I see the problem that our children’s friends will have to walk nicely past us later.. although this is somewhat relativized since the living room is somewhat tucked into the corner.

I would want to choose going upstairs from the hallway. But also make sure that the staircase does not protrude as much as in your example.

And, like in [Würfel], also access the kitchen from the hallway ... so rather the design from [Würfel].

ours is flush at the top exit. It could also be done that way at the entrance.

I advocate, otherwise I wouldn't have suggested it, for "my" staircase version. I think it is an optimal solution with the staircase: even bicycles could be stored downstairs seasonally. I find the presence of the staircase in relation to the sofa manageable in terms of angle without loss of privacy. And I find it very intentional that you step into the dining area from above in the morning with a path to the coffee machine :)
I have modernized the living room window front again :)

: I deliberately planned the staircase generously in length with 4.15 meters. Depending on the floor height, it can be longer or shorter. However, if in the end a step protrudes, it should be manageable. We don't yet know if we will make an access to the kitchen. Access would be practical (especially with the basement staircase from the hallway, to quickly fetch supplies from the basement), but the cloakroom would be very tight with 1.20 meters or we would have to do without the tall cabinets on the other side of the hallway and put the cloakroom there.

: The argument about the walk to the coffee machine will probably be my wife's decisive argument, I fear.. :) Although I have to say that the argument about the bicycles does not apply, since we are planning an outside staircase to the basement anyway. My concern is more whether it will be too noisy upwards and whether too much cold air from the hallway and basement will flow into the living area. Maybe someone here has experience with such an open construction method?

: What do you say about the new version with the open staircase, especially since you obviously have one?

I have tuned the wardrobe and a few corners again.

I find the left entrance plan more elegant if the hallway at the front is not made bulky by this funnel thing. The width of the existing hallway is also sufficient to place a console or bench. The kitchen unit fits at the top with a wall; at the bottom, I would find a wall unit more delicate.
To give the house some class, I would also have the blue-marked corners built as 90-degree corners and not fitted with door frames. If necessary, door frames could still be installed later.
