I know that with our 4 kids.
And the shopping carts and checkout conveyors are also not designed for the weekly shopping of 6 people...

It doesn't have to be 220sqm. Regarding the budget: How much personal contribution can be made? That is an important factor.

Unfortunately, I only have one child. Everything regularly explodes with us, and you can tell how different it is with 4-5 children. The spacious entrance becomes a bottleneck, 1 toilet per floor is regularly not enough. My biggest pots are just enough, 2 ovens otherwise it doesn't work with fries and fish sticks. The dishwasher runs after every meal. Apples are only eaten unpeeled now. Are you grinning? My girlfriend often says typical only-child mom. My mother just does it. When the crowd (they are neighbors) comes, they don't enter through the front door, but over the terrace into the dining room. The little ones go on the oven bench and there is space. Afterwards, the cleaning cloth has to be used.
