I was missing a bit of your feedback. For me, that would feel like a makeshift kitchen all my life, like in a holiday apartment. You say you’re not a catering service, but are you aware of the room size?
That’s what I’m wondering.
We currently have a 6.5 m² closed kitchen and more or less everything on a 2.6 meter wide row. Sometimes we get in each other’s way, but we haven’t stabbed each other yet .
We will ask the general contractor again whether he has a comparable house and how the kitchen was set up there.
is the kitchen expert here, right? Do you have any idea for this kitchen?
You go outside for every sheet of paper?
Of course not. Newspapers go into the newspaper basket and are sorted out from time to time. In the kitchen cabinet with the trash cans, one could also consider having one for paper, or alternatively place a box in the utility room.
And what do you think: how many do you have after building the house?
I just counted: we have 10. Maybe 5 more will come with the house, if at all ... just digitize and you have access from everywhere .
Our 70 cm boxes don’t fit anywhere, for example.
Ours with 57 cm, on the other hand, do fit .
Your office cabinet holds more than it can, the hallway cabinet is full right from the start
I think it’s good that you bring this up.
What does your alternative look like? Build 20 m² bigger?
We went through all of our current storage spaces and concluded that the planned spaces will be sufficient. We’re not even counting the cabinet in the hallway here.
But finally, here’s someone who plans with planting.
So you would extend the garage all the way to the end of the terrace?
Of course, I meant both bathroom windows.
OK.
I would like to address the following points about our floor plan once more:
[*]What do you do with the window in the hallway if the bathroom window on the east side is no longer floor-to-ceiling? Floor-to-ceiling windows don’t look that good from the outside either, right?
[*]In the kitchen, we’re considering making the floor-to-ceiling window 12.5 cm narrower. 1.01 meters should be wide enough, right?
[*]How can you position the window in the office so that it is centered and yet matches the exterior view with the kitchen window? Or does it not matter for the office whether the window is centered or not?
[*]In the bedroom, we’re considering lowering the parapet height by 12.5 cm. A 1.2 meter back panel would still fit under the windowsill and the window handle would be a bit lower.
[*]For the bedroom, we’re thinking about moving the wall with the door 1 meter towards the top of the plan, so that the wall aligns with the bathroom wall. The bedroom wouldn’t really gain much more floor space from this, but the door would no longer open into the room, but could rest against the office wall.
[*]In the hallway, instead of the cabinet opposite, one could also build a niche where a built-in cabinet fits. That might look a bit tidier; although then we would still have to build a cabinet about 1.2 meters wide there. The current floor plan with the cabinet is just one option.
