If the draft includes little or no criticism, it will be built as is. The general contractor isn’t bored and tells the planner to create an optional draft if everything else is fitting. There are things one can tolerate—but there are also things one cannot... and in all the euphoria, storage space, whether for suitcases and decorations or in the kitchen that has to function every day, is in short supply.

For me, the maximum according to the specifications has been achieved here. What I also think is the insufficient storage space. As guckuck2 already writes, where should suitcases, possibly sports equipment, various small items, and so on go?

The kitchen is borderline. Cooking alone is possible. With two people..

Here’s an alternative so the OP doesn't think we're just too lazy to think. A bit more kitchen and in my opinion a more pleasing layout on the upper floor, but only access through the kitchen. Space under the stairs still as a pantry. There’s now more storage space for cups and pots—but is that better? I don’t know.

I find the upper floor better
The desired bench is missing downstairs

Don't you think it still fits in the hallway? I would be much more bothered by the access through the kitchen.

That seemed quite important to the OP

If it is now placed in the hallway, the access to the common room is very cramped. Entering through the front door, past the bench with the shopping basket, there are once again ownerless shoes lying in front, through the rather narrow access to the kitchen
You are right, the access is tight
