I think it is wrong to persuade someone to have an open kitchen when they actually want a closed one. Ultimately, it was about the narrow hallway that formed and was not planned away. I would not plan the sleeping area in the north, but in the east. The hallway results from the side entrance away from the living room. Entrance where the kitchen is now. Rotate kitchen, dining, and living room. Office then in the north. Turn the stairs... this optimizes zoning; you also don’t have to constantly pass by the private zone when coming in from outside to the kitchen during the day. Ideally, the children's room would also have a south-facing window. The garage position is probably not optimal on a slope?! There was no site plan here? That would be quite important for house planning including garages on a sloped plot.
