Sliding door in the dining room facing south is the access to the covered terrace.

Thanks, I will do that. So far we haven't focused on stairs. Only that it should be a straight staircase to the basement.

No, normal ceiling. Ceiling will be insulated, not the roof.

As mentioned above: painting, crafting, photography, sometimes working on the PC, etc. Something should also be able to stay standing sometimes.
We have also considered a door to the outside.

For workshop, I was thinking more of wood, etc. I overlooked it.

We are already aware that the corridor itself cannot be/ is not functional ;) . By "functional" I rather meant the house as a whole with the layout as we would like it. At the moment, the corridor is the best compromise for us based on what we have seen so far. If I wanted to consider all wishes, we would probably need more than 1000 sqm of land :p.

But that is why I am putting the design up for discussion here, to get a few other opinions and possibly change something. Everything is still possible.

I know. I just emphasized it again for clarification for one or the other. ;)

Yes, it might be a bit misleading . Maybe hobby cellar would be a better term. There is no sawing and planing :) .

You have such nice rooms in the basement with light, garden access I would really put the office downstairs and shift things a bit with the available space upstairs. Especially since the floor plan doesn't work with a different staircase. Include the garden to the north. Staircase, path etc.

I have added it all up,
in the ground floor corridors and WF and cloakroom, almost 30m2,
this must be done better
