No, I wouldn’t say that, but I do see that it’s already a trend that I will now also follow. Even with a hall, like you describe it :D Although..... currently we already live open-plan, I actually prefer it. But there are just two of us and we have practically no friends, not even enemies. I do think, though, that it also depends on the limited space available. I can hardly imagine building lots of separate rooms.

I know both. Both are extremely impractical. I want neither a closed kitchen nor a toilet out back. Open kitchens aren’t that new. They used to be called living kitchens. They had a dining table, a couch, and the only radio and TV in the house. The parlor was dusted more than it was used.
