With 15000 for the kitchen, there is really room for savings if needed, there are already some treats in there, right? Ours is still 1000 above that, but just the Berbel hood, steam cooker, and the oven with TFT make up a good portion of the costs. If you leave out such goodies, the price drops significantly. And the kitchens from the Swedish store with simpler appliances are also more than sufficient to prepare delicious meals, plus they don’t look bad either. Priorities should also be set there, as Alex85 wrote, on what is really important.

So, I've already regularly read that the kitchen from the Swede isn't really cheaper if you also have it delivered and assembled, they really add a lot on top. I'd say it's less of a treat. It is handleless, for visual and practical reasons (cleaning). And it has a downdraft ventilation because of the kitchen island, but otherwise nothing really special. Maybe the granite countertop you could save, but otherwise, I can't think of anything where you can save. And you usually have the kitchen the longest (excluding the house). We can also, if necessary, still use the old furniture first.

A kitchen for €15,000 has treats. But it doesn't make sense here, you say you have no more money for the earthworks, all users here are trying to show you where you could save something. But you don't want to make any compromises. Then no money will be found either.

Just remember, you will need even more unplanned money..

Hi,

so you have €20k as a free buffer. You can also get a kitchen easily for €5k, you can cook and eat in it.

New furniture is not a must at first. You will have a bed, table, chair, and sofa now anyway.

Sorry to put it bluntly:

If you are not willing to accept this limitation, but at the same time the first €5-10k in unplanned costs throw you off track, you will get a serious problem. You are a hot candidate for the next forced auction of a half-finished house.

Think about it and listen to the experiences of people who have already been through building…

Best regards,

Andreas

maybe you can tell me WHERE to buy these cheap kitchens? We also need a new kitchen and recently went to the kitchen store and just had a kitchen planned and costed. In the end, it came to 18,000 euros and that without any special features, so no extractor hood, no induction, no steam cooker, no steam oven, no granite countertop, etc.. At Ikea, they had a kitchen on display that was supposed to cost around 12,000 euros (without assembly) and was smaller than what we need, so I don't see much potential for saving there.

Best regards Sabine

Man, what kind of kitchens are you getting??? We paid 7200 € for our current one (4mx5m corner). Including a large induction cooktop, pyrolytic oven, and big extractor hood. For that, we got a fridge and dishwasher from Junker. They do the job. Our new kitchen costs 6200 €, is significantly bigger but without stove, oven, and dishwasher. We’re taking those with us.
