And did the living rooms in these show homes also not have direct doors? I’m just asking because the feeling might not be the same. Don’t want you to dream of something that later feels completely different due to different dimensions and circumstances.

Do you mean that the living rooms were then separated from living-dining-cooking areas? Then no. For example, we really liked the layout of Gussek-Haus in Fellbach (we also live there somewhat separated). I have attached the floor plan. However, the couch there was against the wall, if I remember correctly, and we found the view outside (for example at Hanse Haus in Fellbach) nicer. What bothered us about the Gussek-Haus, by the way, was that when you come in, you can see right through the entire house. Tastes are just different, after all.

But with the shown GussekHouse floor plan, you don’t look through the entire house, as you write, or am I misunderstanding something? When you refer to your post #97, you don’t actually look “through the house” but rather straight on, so to speak, full force directly into the kitchen workspace, or you have to turn the corner to avoid it? I’m just trying to understand what could be less nice about looking into or through nicely designed living spaces (stylish furniture, carpets, pictures, plants, large windows to the outside, etc.) than directly into a kitchen space, which is after all more of a workspace. First, your plan from #97 didn’t turn out the way you described it and second, the Gussek-Haus plan you showed is completely different because there you actually walk past the kitchen and not right into the hustle and bustle. Enlighten me if you like. Why would your house interior / living room + dining room become so ugly that you wouldn’t want to see it when entering the house and would rather opt for the view into a workspace.

The view of the Zalando courier at the front door has a clear line of sight between the counter and the dining table through to the exit wound at the window. You retreat with evening guests to the seating area after the last course and don’t want to see the dishes that haven’t been cleared away yet. Not everyone has an 11antöse clutter tolerance.

That makes sense to me.
My question is more about the fact that OP does not want to look "through the whole house" upon entering the house, but probably is okay with looking directly into the kitchen workspace.
Maybe I am misunderstanding something.

Dear Arauki, I’m afraid we are going around in circles if I explain my living habits here for the umpteenth time. Let’s leave it at that: there is no perfect floor plan. We have decided that the small evil, from our point of view, of having to go through the (usually tidy in our case) kitchen into the open-plan living area is bearable. In any case, I plan to report back here once the house is standing.
