It does not necessarily have to be a square, but I do not know how else I could get such a large, open living/dining/kitchen area. We don’t really need the additional ground floor room... it would have been nice, but the open living/kitchen/dining area is more important to me... Some things are given due to the plot of land. Carport on the right, utility room on the right, only the west side comes into question for the garden. I also wouldn’t know how to design it differently.

Google Hanse Haus Bad Vilbel

Assign the hallway to the living area by omitting walls
The upper floor fits not just as an example
The kids' bathroom becomes washing
Relaxes the small utility room.

Provides more space in the west

It has "successfully" become a deterioration :-(
It should have grown in width.

No window is okay: presumably she fears dust caused by more air movement – aren’t the cabinets supposed to be closed?
From the bathroom to the dressing room through the bedroom means: waking up the partner at different getting-up times.

Getting a large open space is no art. You have 16 meters in depth available: use it. This way you also get a large west garden. Entrance to the house in the first third on the east. Get used to left and right - with east and west you can handle things better.

Why grow wider? Then I have even less opening towards the west, or am I misunderstanding something? The cabinets are supposed to be open, they shouldn’t be closed... yes, I’m aware of that too, that’s why I still have to discuss it with my wife again regarding waking up, etc. I also like the floor plan. Of course, it’s also a question of cost, the land prices are already very expensive for us. And when I see it like that, it looks "more expensive"...
