Everyone sees it differently. We very often have cases that get lost here and calculate very tightly. But there are brokers who arrange everything. Even get Grandma’s cat litter box financed.

We want or can obtain various offers for financing our new building starting from the beginning of May. Of course, we are closely monitoring the current developments and would have liked the lower interest rates from a few weeks ago. Nevertheless, our financing should have enough flexibility so that the interest rate development does not throw us off track.

We prefer to accept the 0.xx% higher interest rates rather than speculate that the rates will fall again soon.

My loan is flexible, to be reassessed annually. It is always reassessed in mid-April. The timing roughly coincided with the Corona crisis in Europe. The interest rates have dropped significantly, from 1.4% to 1.2% (yes, laugh all you want. I do not live in [D]. Where I live, there is nowhere a loan available for less than 1.1%. And that is also the big exception.). In any case, the interest rate has decreased by 0.2 percentage points. That is something at least.

Completely ridiculous. The FED slashed the key interest rate in an emergency meeting. Both the FED and the ECB have restarted their QE programs, where they previously tried to phase out gently. Interest rates remain perversely low. Fear drives investors into [Betongold]. Like the last 10 years, it continues. Tangible assets are more popular than ever.

Why laugh? It’s a good interest rate. Which country is it if I may ask? Are there no longer terms available?
