You will regret it anyway. So just do it! Screw a fraction of a percent – for that, you get a house you couldn't have afforded a few years ago. Look forward to it and don't cry about paying 20€ more or less per month now. It's not the financing that costs money, but a house that is not properly planned and built.

If the KFW runs massive funding programs, you probably don't think the prices will stay the same... Inflation is desired because the state can pay off its debts more easily this way, wages will rise, etc... So act and don't wait, you will never catch the bottom.

We are facing the same question and will probably finalize in the next two weeks. We also considered waiting, but in the end no one can really know what will happen. We still have the 2019 price on offer because we have been planning with the general contractor since autumn and negotiated it that way. The inflation surcharge for 2020 is about 3%, which means that for it to be cheaper for us, construction prices would have to rise by more than 3 percent. However, the interest rates are no longer as good as they were 4 weeks ago. But still better than a year ago. You must not let yourself be driven crazy. Historically, interest rates are still insanely low. And when it comes to new construction, you can't plan more precisely than within a range of plus/minus 5-10% anyway.

I absolutely agree with you! We also still have the 2019 prices on offer. Whether that's really true or just a sales tactic remains to be seen. It’s simply a big step in life, so naturally you give it some thought! But you are right, we will do the same and I will discuss it with the financiers in the next few days.
