Well then, that’s a bargain Gira access point double socket FR max. 20€, 1m cable to the electrical box.

The problem with connecting it yourself is not about warranty, etc.

Unfortunately, I can’t advise you. Personally, I wouldn’t accept the offer (and would do it myself since I’m lucky enough to be able to).

Maybe ask (another) electrician afterwards.

The listing is always like this, mmmh how do I put it, disappointing? What money was missing before apparently should come in here twice.

Maybe have everything done except for the switch, and only one socket, but a double one? Because of the warranty... Not an optimal situation...

... and of course don’t take the patch cables either. €4.50 is not too expensive for good patch cables. But I bet that the 95-cent variant, like in all GU-made network distributions I have seen so far, will be used here.

Exactly. I think we will definitely take the sockets. We forgot them during the upcharge in the utility room. We had planned anyway to house router and such there, so we need to provide at least 1, better 2, extra sockets there. I’m not even that annoyed about the price for the wet room socket. I think they just have flat rates there. We have other sockets distributed all over the house, each costing 28.50 net. No matter if it’s near the utility room or on another floor on the other side of the house. But the story with the "fool-catching" with the switch annoys me so much (keyword seriousness) that we will strike everything from the offer that is not 100% essential for us.

Here is a thread with 60 pages about sat and IPTV. By now, all pros and cons are listed.

Just generally about network planning. Are so few ports really enough for you? An 8-port patch panel is only 4 double sockets. Or will there only be single sockets, then you might as well plan a few additional switches. Have you thought about network sockets for access points?

The switch should also have more ports in the rack than the patch panel. One port is already used for the router, so you still have free ports, for example for a NAS.

That's why we basically want to buy and connect our hardware (e.g., switch) ourselves. 8 ports might not be enough for us. We have planned LAN in every room, but only one socket. We actually intend to solve it individually (where we need it) with access points. Only in the office do we have a double LAN port. In most rooms, if one is even installed, it's probably just one access point at the LAN socket, which can then distribute further. Everything else is simply too expensive for us. We pay €90 net for one LAN socket, a duplex costs €145 net.

Thanks, I found that one after your hint on the keyword IPTV. The problem with forum searches is always that you don't find anything if you don't use the right keyword.
But it's mostly about SAT and IPTV. We have already decided against SAT. However, we are also considering not installing an antenna.
