Sockets or power strips

I am facing a similar issue, but for me the solution is relatively simple.
A brief preliminary consideration: why do people have such thoughts? Primarily because they don't want to commit (a typical problem of today's society).
But to be honest, we all plan our house, and with that, let's say 75%, it's decided where, for example, the TV will go.
And what is the likelihood that in a self-planned house you constantly move the furniture around?

Therefore, I will only have the preparation done on the "alternative" wall. That means going into the wall:
SAT socket, LAN socket, but as empty cables that neither have a socket in the living room nor in the basement in the multiswitch or patch panel. Then cover it and put wallpaper on it. That way I am prepared for the eventual case. Sockets will surely also be installed on the wall, but no more than a double socket.
Because I really think it's just about keeping all options open.

My 2 cents :D

Alright, but not everyone likes or can afford a huge bank of sockets in the wall. And not everyone finds it "nice". I prefer one socket for the main devices each, and the rest is connected via a power strip. If there's still a socket left over somewhere during planning, it can always be added at the TV wall.

My opinion: Exceptions in the TV and PC area, where several devices always have to/can be connected together

Best regards in brief

We feel the same way. We would also have two TV mounting options, but will probably only fully equip one wall for now and prepare the second with empty conduits and cables. Providing one socket and one LAN port for each device would clearly be too many sockets on the wall for me. I think it will come down to two double sockets and one or two double LAN sockets. Does anyone have pictures of their media wall?

Phew, very interesting opinions.
Briefly on the topic of networks. We usually lay 1GBit capacity per line. That is 128 MB/s.
Most switches do not have drastically higher overall performance. Not to mention whether the source can even deliver data in that quantity.
And that's where the problem lies.
In short: It makes no sense to lay more than 5 cables to the same spot. I would already be skeptical with two.
A small switch is installed at PC and media spots that require more than two lines. Done.

Power strips! More than a five-row (including LAN / SAT) will not come into my house. How ugly is that, please?
Power strip, lay the cables neatly, and that's it.

I agree to option 2 to 3 sockets (I have 2) on the media wall. Also LAN, TV, etc. And what I also have are connections for ceiling speakers, which I can address directly from the system. In total, there are already 6 sockets behind my TV spot.
