that is not correct. In the APs, the installation space is so limited that a connector on the installation cable does not fit in (depending on the model). The simplest, cleanest, and cheapest solution is to have an installation cable laid to the desired location (+ 1 meter surplus). When the drywall goes up, simply drill a 30mm hole at that spot and pull the cable through. Then connect a keystone module to the cable. Use a short patch cable (e.g., 25 cm) to connect the access point and keystone. Push the excess cable with keystone simply through the hole into the ceiling and mount the access point above it. Hence the 3cm hole to allow the keystone to pass through. The connection or cable entry on the APs is not centered. You should consider this if you want to position the access point exactly. For the Nano HD it fits if you offset the hole by 3.5cm. For other models, it varies. It’s best to get an access point in advance and measure. There is not enough space in a normal box to accommodate the excess cable. Use deep boxes then. Prefer the first option, which is not always possible. But with you, it is.

I have a problem understanding ... Why would there be space to use a patch cable, but not enough for a connector on the installation cable...?

The connectors for installation cables are so bulky that there is not enough space at or behind the access point. Additionally, the installation cable is not flexible enough. Therefore, the detour via a short patch cable.

or like this

The upper one does not fit into the access point, the lower one does.

Installation cable is still very stiff. Therefore patch cable. It is also easier to replace if it has been bent too much...

For the mentioned solutions, how do you supply power to the access point? Power over Ethernet, or do they also get a power outlet placed nearby?
