Expert at the end of construction?
It is quite common for this to be reviewed.

I just checked: My contract states that all information in the submitted financing plan (minor fluctuations excluded) must be truthful.

In two weeks, the Value AG commissioned by the bank will come by and thoroughly inspect everything from the floor slab to the silicone joint. Especially in the interior finishing, you can immediately tell where a professional and where an amateur was involved.

OK, good to know! Isn't it then the architect's job to ensure that the work was done correctly?

So let's briefly summarize the highlights:

- Couple without craft training builds house almost entirely with [EL]
- Cost savings approx. TEUR 120
- Construction time 9 months (well, it has since been extended to 2 years)
- Loan from bank over (how much equity actually? Did I overlook it?) X but only 280 drawn later.
- If possible, the bank takes back the undrawn loan without additional costs
- Crane, not needed.
- Roof preferably without beams, if necessary only very light ones are made with a cable pull.
- Craftsmen only in emergencies. They then just come briefly for the small thing..
- Electrician only comes to connect and sign the main connection
- What you don't know Wikipedia and YouTube explain

...who wants to add?

But is that a contradiction? At the time of application, specialist companies are planned. During construction, one decides to do more oneself. I would also be transparent with the bank about that. As soon as they don’t go along with it, a switch to a specialist company would have to be made. But why shouldn’t the bank go along if the architect approves?
