Metzler also makes a good impression. Do you know if Metzler uses a cloud? Does it also send the image to the phone (also on the go or only within the own network)? Do you have an indoor station with a display planned or only a gong inside?

According to the description and their videos, you can also expand to the phone. And that completely without a subscription or anything. Whether that only works at home in the WLAN, I unfortunately don't know. We then definitely need their indoor station so that we can also see who is standing in front of the door via the camera. But apparently you can also connect additional indoor stations so that you can see from several places in the house who is ringing. And of course also hear the bell in several locations.

It would be enough for us if I hear an acoustic signal and the image is transmitted to the phone or smart display in the house. We wouldn't need an indoor station in the hallway. Are there any other video doorbells on the market besides [Doorbird] and [Metzler]? I think a POE video doorbell is necessary; the rest is probably just toys.

This picture still occupies my mind.
When I specify a network connection with the electrician, does only a keystone module "always" stick out? Is there a possibility that he lets the RJ45 plug stick out directly, or is that technically not possible/sensible?

No, that is only the case if you order it that way.
But you should do that, because otherwise either a patch cable protrudes, which actually has no place in the wall, or an installation cable that is impractical for the device connection...

Yes, you can have an RJ45 connector attached to a permanent cable, but in my opinion it doesn't make sense. The connectors for permanent cables are quite bulky and the permanent cable is very inflexible. With most access points I know, this works using a keystone module and patch cable, since there is often hardly any space on the back of the access point.
