The 19" cabinet that recommended is only available in a depth of 400mm. The 10" one then in 300mm, as you mentioned. If the small one is enough for me for switch, router, patch panel, power strip then I would prefer the smaller network cabinet as well. What do you think? DN-10-09U - 10" really sufficient? I would prefer that the patch panel comes from him, provided that it is really universally connectable here. He has certainly already ordered it... I don’t want to "remodel" much here, as long as it is not extra effort for him to install the whole thing in the network cabinet. I would have put it to him and told him to mount the patch panel here. - what do you mean by power outlet in the network cabinet? :D I can just plug the cable from the multiple socket into the electrical cabinet at the top, right? Or do you mean he has to install a socket "behind" the new network cabinet? But then there would have to be a hole in the cabinet? Somehow I am totally confused right now xD

No. The selection of 10" devices is practically non-existent. Always go for 19". The electrician will take the cheapest possible patch panel and just terminate everything there. Retrofitting that into a rack is a real pain. Ask him if he can put keystones on the cables and install a patch panel for keystones in the rack yourself. It's much easier, even with the small number of connections.

If you have a power outlet in the electrical cabinet, yes. But he should basically just run a power line into the network cabinet and put an outlet there. You plug into that… so nothing behind it or anything.

I only find the Telekom Speedport Smart 4 everywhere – but not the "PLUS" version?

The regular Smart 4 is relatively cheap (€130) – if it's good and you are satisfied with it, I would consider switching back to Speedport instead of the Fritzbox 5530 Fiber.

Do you mean that one, or is there actually a new version here?

Do you mean 10" cabinets or content for them?
Well, of course you have to see, but sometimes less is more. And with the "minimalistic" requirements of the OP, you don't have to overdo it.

Look at the pictures, for example of the DN-10-09U, there are some that show the possible build content. In my opinion, that should be enough for you, but a larger one of course "does no harm." It's just counterproductive if the approach is to install as cheaply and demand-oriented as possible.

So I have the AVM FB 5530 for my fiber optic connection. I have to tell you right away, regarding Wi-Fi it is not great. I only use it as an "input box." Then a switch and at the other end an "old" 7390 is connected. If it ever dies, a 7590 or its successor will be installed there. The 7390 in its current state is much better than the newer 5530 when it comes to Wi-Fi. This is due to the antennas installed in the box. The rest has already been described to you accurately.
