You basically have a bottleneck when some devices connected to one switch access, for example, a NAS, and other devices connected to the other switch. Either establish a faster connection between the two devices or live with the limitation. In a home network, this is probably not a big issue, but you should be aware of it.

How do you create a fast connection? I'm a bit confused now. Is this „bottleneck“ actually a problem in a single-family house or not :D

For the average user, I see no problem. Do you have a NAS? What else do you do on your network? For internet applications (streaming, surfing, etc.) this is completely sufficient. It only becomes critical if you want to transfer many large files locally across multiple devices.

EDIT: There are switches with (individual) faster ports. The normal standard is 1 GBit/s. But there are also 2.5 GBit/s, 5 GBit/s, and 10 GBit/s. This way, you could connect the switches to each other faster. I don't see this as necessary for 95% of users.

Ok thanks. I think so too. Connection will be as follows:

4 outdoor cameras
3 access points
Servers or similar are not planned.
Max. 3x streaming at the same time

But 1Gbit should be completely sufficient :)

Here is a rather "slim" version. 10-inch cabinet. With a 23-port PoE switch for the existing access point in the attic from Ubiquiti.

The access point from Ubiqiti really has very good reviews! I think I will take a closer look at it as well.
