Now I completely forgot the wall thicknesses. Exterior walls: 30 cm (more in the basement because of the insulation, since I don’t know it, I initially took 30 cm as well) Load-bearing interior walls: 17.5 cm Other interior walls: 11.5 cm

Go ahead please. I don't see any possibilities if everything is to be built according to DIN.

But it doesn't have west-facing windows for light yield and the evening sun in summer.

If you are planning for yourself as a layperson, you should take about 36 cm for the exterior walls, 20 cm for the load-bearing ones, and 14 cm for the other interior walls. That would be a rough estimate of wall thickness including plaster.

But honestly...

...are you sure you are not overestimating your abilities a bit? What about your planner?
If you do something yourself, you should have basic knowledge and be able to apply it. You haven't thought about many things yet... that can certainly backfire - even if it only means a long time delay including a second building permit.

No, I’m not. I know that in the end I’m just "sketching" something here. We have decided on a house type. We visited the show home and basically "fell in love." But I know the floor plan isn’t 100% perfect; there is plenty of room for improvement. This is also because this house is planned without a basement, meaning a utility room on the ground floor, which we don’t want.

I’m just looking for ideas and am still at the beginning. The area where we will move is still being developed, so we still have some time. But I would like to finalize the planning early to be able to submit the building notification as soon as possible.

I’m sure I’m approaching this somewhat naively, but I want to get the optimum out of it somehow, also so I don’t waste my time with the architect; however, I don’t want to waste your time either.

Then go ahead and either anonymize the existing one, post it here, and say what you don’t like or what it lacks that you would like to have. At least that provides a good starting point with unchangeable corners.

Business guests don’t get a bed from me! ops: But what about family visits in 10 years? Over time, none of us will get faster or more relaxed in the bathroom.

I’ll gladly do that tomorrow. Ultimately, a big point is already the mentioned hallway. If we are at the house again on Saturday, I will take some photos of the stairs and bathroom on the upper floor. For example, we don’t like those in the original. Also, the "running into the furniture" you mentioned. That’s why the offset of the wall in the master bedroom.

More tomorrow.
