.. well - sorry - if you defend a 120cm wide pantry as 'sufficient' without first asking what width experienced builders and homeowners consider appropriate, then you shouldn’t be surprised by the backlash.
And yes, 120cm is too narrow! We have 135cm - and I can assure you, that’s the absolute minimum - even then it’s difficult to replace a cooling appliance.
Thanks! That is a constructive way to put it. Instead of simply saying "it’s crap." I have already taken this into account.
Regarding "barrier-free": okay, admittedly, it’s not truly barrier-free, or only to a small extent. And I also hope never to have to make use of such a thing.
Basement without windows? I wouldn’t want that - in our house every basement has a window.
In the HAR/utility room
I don’t need a window. One of the rooms is purely for storage; the window would be blocked anyway. We are still considering it for the utility room and the large basement room.
Such half-turned stairs mean you first have to lug the bedroom furniture up and down.
Thanks for the hint, but I had no intention of lugging furniture up and down every week. And in my previous moves I sometimes had far narrower staircases.
Laundry room in the basement? In my own house?
There are more people involved in decisions here than just me. But I have to say, these are two appliances I really don’t want upstairs.
I’d like to clarify something: I don’t expect anyone to draw me a floor plan or anything like that, but I do think it’s possible to have at least some factual discussion about it. Simply saying it’s crap doesn’t help. And as I have mentioned several times, if it’s constructive, that’s great and I appreciate it. And I am not defending anything; I am explaining why I made certain decisions or why I am planning something a certain way.
