With the screens, I also can't look out the window without feeling like I have 5 diopters or 3 per mille. Besides, they don’t help at all against the warming of the room!

And the wind issue is even more annoying with exterior screens than with blinds!

Thanks to a very competent and nice forum user, we will probably choose the direction of textile screens for the entire building. The advantages compared to venetian blinds prevail. For example, by using different strengths to control the light admission accordingly (bedroom very dark, etc.), there are elegant corner solutions, thus providing a uniform option for the ground floor / upper floor / attic....

I know various textile screens with folds, dirt, etc., but maybe you have found something clever, however, I absolutely agree with the opinion of and believe in the greater advantages of venetian blinds compared to roller shutters and textile screens.

We have roller shutters because of the wind. It is often very strong here.
Those who shade sensibly and provide rooms with windows on two sides of the house do not sit in the dark.

In a windy area, I would go for the Roma CDL blinds. Nothing happens up to wind speeds of 120km/h AND they are even as opaque as roller shutters. You can just google what 120km/h wind speed means... I would be more concerned about the roof then.

But it is simply not nice to have this office look from the inside. Yes, light comes in, but it still looks ugly.

If possible, I find solutions like roof overhangs, trees, terrace roofs with awnings, etc. much more beautiful. Half of the window is not covered by the unsightly slats, but you have a clear view and can also enjoy the view outside.

120 is quite a lot. With storm brackets, they should be no problem for the roof.

The Roma CDL blinds probably didn't exist yet when we did the sampling, if I have googled correctly. They seem to be the jack of all trades in this field.
