Is the view of the slats so much better? I don't like it, I had it long enough in the office

Shading, office (company) south side.
Often with deer and hare
Makes everything unnecessary - except for light.

But there are definitely worse views at work!

For me, it is definitely the lesser evil since I can see through it. The roller blind does not offer that, so it is not an alternative for me.

Here is my view from the office, also on the south side where the sun is shining in.
Now imagine it with an opaque roller blind.

PS: your view is of course a dream.

Use Venetian blinds with rail guides. I had three really large ones and honestly, I don't know what problems are sometimes talked about here. These things were top-notch and above all extremely comfortable regarding individual light incidence, and absolutely trouble-free. This is something that will definitely be included in the new house; I can do without some other things. Even if they cost more, in this case, in my opinion, it makes a lot of sense to pay extra. Of course, as always, it is a matter of personal opinion, but the option to adjust the incoming light or the view almost millimeter-precisely until it pleases me, I find very pleasant and sensible.

your view is not bad either. Hopefully, a new development area is not planned so soon. Whether it is pleasing is a matter of taste. It would be really great if you could control everything over the windows yourself without additional shading.
