Well, either the rails were set too short or the windowsill was bent in too low. Hard to say who is to blame. Maybe that could have been corrected before plastering in the rails, depending on the fastening of the guide rails. I would simply unscrew the brackets, of course. No slat will fall out. Whether the roller shutters are long enough or could get stuck otherwise you just have to try out.

Both were done by the same person... but now it doesn't matter. Since a few panes are going to be replaced soon, he should take care of it right away.

Well, good, of course nothing falls out. To me, it looks like the rails were cut too short. Actually, they could have gotten a bevel cut at the end so that they run parallel to the windowsill. But it’s not a big deal, just make sure you don’t scratch your tank or the windowsill now.

Thanks to a very competent and friendly forum user, we will probably choose the direction of textile screens for the entire project. The advantages compared to Venetian blinds outweigh. For example, by using different densities to control the light admission accordingly (bedrooms very dark, etc.), there are elegant corner solutions, thereby providing a uniform option for ground floor / upper floor / attic....

I’m not going to install the most modern windows and doors for a lot of money just to sit in the dark when the sun is shining.

In my opinion, roller shutters no longer have a place (except in the bedrooms).
Even when the blinds are almost completely closed, the curved slats cast really beautiful daylight into the room.
In the bathroom or WC, I can adjust the slats so the neighbor can’t look in, but still enough light comes in.

And it really has to be storming for the slats to be blown out of their guides.
In today’s climate change, I would rather save on insulation than on proper shading.
