You do it YOURSELF! That is also humility towards life! You create something yourself. If you let everything be done for you and just watch, your budget at the bank would look completely different. Instead, you take something small and make something big out of it.
At least that's how I read your posts.

That wouldn't even occur to many people here in their wildest dreams, who have little or no money available. I am convinced that you are humble.

And today I heard that there is a discussion about legally establishing a binding standard for burglary protection. That will make it even more expensive, especially when I look at the simple, insecure windows that are offered and installed everywhere as standard.

I had mentioned that in my example – it still cost us an extra charge and was therefore included in the quoted price.

You wrote that the protection is considered standard today, for which you paid an extra charge 2 years ago. I don't believe that at all after struggling through 4 offers from turnkey builders and obtaining quotes from 3 different window manufacturers.

The turnkey builders mostly offer:
- white plastic windows
- 70mm installation depth
- double glazing (sometimes triple)
- "few" chambers, mediocre U-value
- simple profiles/locking/handles
- electric plastic shutters

When I then see what we ultimately choose:
- plastic windows anthracite outside, white inside
- 82mm or 90mm installation depth
- triple glazing
- "more" chambers, better U-value
- profiles/locking/handles/glass/installation as an overall package according to RC2
- electric aluminum shutters
- window contact switches to check the position or break sensors on the fixed elements

The surcharge goes towards €10,000. If this becomes mandatory for everyone soon, building in general will become significantly more expensive again.

The turnkey builders mostly offer:

- 70mm installation depth
- double glazing (sometimes triple)
- "few" chambers, moderate U-value
- simple profiles/locking mechanisms/handles
- electric plastic roller shutters

When I then see what we ultimately choose:

- triple glazing
- "more" chambers, better U-value
- profiles/locking mechanisms/handles/laminated safety glass/installation as a complete package according to RC2

- window contact switches to check the position or break sensors on the fixed elements

The surcharge goes toward €10,000. If this becomes mandatory for everyone soon, building in general will become significantly more expensive again.

OK - I based my statement on a post I read here a few weeks ago. It said that, for example, triple glazing with quadruple or quintuple mushroom heads on windows is now standard. Someone else replied back then that this was now normal. At that moment, I thought to myself, "Oh look - we even had it specially included." If this has not yet become established, I naturally withdraw the statement that "it is already standard now."
