Reminds me somewhat of my first draft from #51, only that I have a larger hallway here, but no dressing corner. ;) I don't find the crossing walk so bad now in a single-person household, as long as the resident can still move agilely. And that is the case here. I would make sure that the dressing area between the two 60 cm cabinets (even the best dressers need this depth) has at least one meter, better 1.20 meters, in between. Ideally, there would be a 70 cm space behind the door for a cabinet. Now you would run into a side panel (these aren't 60 cm cabinets, are they?). One could perhaps make the door from the hallway area. That would also have the advantage that the dressing area could also be used for jackets and street shoes. Additionally, I would experiment with the sliding door, i.e., the access to the living area, and move it. Ideally, the desk would be near the window. If the bedroom access were from the hallway, you could rotate the cabinet/dresser in the dining area 90 degrees and place it on the other wall. That would also create a more harmonious arrangement with the sliding door.

With your back to the window? Instead of being able to look outside, would you rather look at the wall? I will never understand why anyone would want to do that.

So as not to have to watch TV with backlight or/and to be able to read in the daylight coming in. There are also people who are more interior-oriented because it is not so nice outside anyway. Or prefer to stand _directly at_ the window rather than sit on the sofa 4 meters away from the window. Or, or.

For the first issue, you can just lower the blinds if you watch TV during the day. Actually, reading works quite well in daylight. For that, I can always lift my eyes from the book and watch the birds. You can stand directly at the window anyway; you don't need a sofa for that. If you prefer to sit by the window, it doesn't help much if you can't see outside.

Because there is nothing to see outside. The elderly lady may also want to watch TV occasionally.
