If it were mine...

... I would free myself from the obligation to have a window in the bathroom.
And suddenly the matter opens up to a galactic gain in space with living quality like in a detached house. All rooms have a respectable and pleasant size. I would equip the bathroom with a generous skylight to capture at least some natural light. Nevertheless, a nice lighting concept is of course needed here.
In the kitchen/dining area, I would place the kitchen on the north side, since the windowless wall is located at the top of the plan. For this reason, practically the entire front consists of doors and windows. The separation from the living area is again equipped with glass doors and windows for maximum light penetration.

All doors would also be possible at 1m width for barrier-free living.

I think your idea is great. You could create a full-width light strip above between 2 and 2.5m from the bathroom to the kitchen to let light in. In my opinion, a skylight is hardly feasible here.

You have already read that the window fronts are listed as historic monuments.

You can also install a window to the barn in the bathroom; it is a) ventilated and b) not completely dark either. I think Katja's floor plan is great!

The light strip you called I mean by skylight. It is also drawn in. Similarly, I would also place a window next to the bedroom door for the dressing room. However, this is not yet drawn in.

Sorry, I had read historic monument but not exactly what effect that has in detail now. I would definitely approach this proactively and have sketches made by an architect that look good and try to get large glass fronts approved.

that would already be a great increase in residential value. It looks very modern and inviting and makes sense that way. In the bathroom, it's more about ventilation than the view; the future user only knows old buildings without ventilation so far, so some convincing is still necessary there. The light strip is still certainly a good argument. My mother-in-law is not fixed on that either, and nice pictures and treats like the walk-in closet / bedroom anteroom also help. the elongated design failed because of relocating the kitchen inward, as that definitely doesn't work. has already mentioned the fronts, that won't work as is. The windows have old forged windows that are to be preserved, with secondary glazing inside. The doors currently have wooden gates opening outward. They don't have to stay, but as a compromise for a window front they might be installed. The on-site conversation is only in January. Maybe we can get a widening/combination of two windows at the kitchen approved. To the street side (bottom of the plan) certainly not.

The ventilation of the bathroom could also be directed towards the attic.

As already says, start a conversation with the building authority / monument protection here with maximum demands and good architectural templates.

So they have something to remove.
