Is a photovoltaic system also sensible in the West or East?

That's true. Only mentioning the DAX shows too much home bias - if anything, MSCI AllCountry, but that would be a different topic than what is stated in the thread title.

I keep reading here about subsidies. By that you mean the feed-in tariff, right? Because as of early 2020, the installation of photovoltaic systems is no longer subsidized (KFW, BAFA or whoever else), right??

your KfW financing is from which year?

Of course nothing is "stored" there, but you get the electricity that you cannot use yourself during the day in summer back for free over the winter. That's why it's a kind of "virtual storage". Clearly, you're always tied to the electricity provider, but it's better than nothing (the low feed-in fee).

KfW Loan 270 - Renewable Energies – Standard
The promotional loan for electricity and heat

[*]From 1.03% effective annual interest rate

[*]Up to 50 million euros loan amount

[*]For systems for the generation of electricity and heat, for grids and storage

[*]For photovoltaics, water, wind, biogas and much more

[*]For private individuals, companies and public institutions

I was not aware of that, thanks! So this is a loan. But currently there is no kind of grant (as funding).

But you also pay fees around €500 per year for that, right? I've really dealt a lot with the topic of photovoltaic in recent months and haven't found anything that really pays off. It's just selling a nice appearance or a good feeling.

This is all brand new. But when it becomes established, the 500,- will decrease quite quickly due to the widening market. Of course, the bigger the system, the better.

Forget all these cloud solutions! They are only useful in very few individual cases, otherwise it makes no sense. If you want maximum return, you have to build an independent system, consume as much electricity as possible yourself, and feed surplus back in. Just think logically: with a cloud, someone always profits. Somewhere this money has to come from. Exactly. From you!
