Storage plus full charging requires an extra inverter because the hybrid stops at 10 kW. The storage then costs over 1000,- € / kWh. It can pay off - depending on the electricity price - from under 400,-€. Roof now full, retrofit storage on the AC side when they are cheap.

Thanks to both of you!

he offered the charging station optionally for just under €1900, it is this one:

SMA Charging Station E-Mobil. 7.5 m 3-phase, EVC22-3AC-10 7.5m cable

But I thought I’d save the money now (of course have it prepared with empty conduits, data cables, etc.) and wait until there is another subsidy. Does that make sense? We currently don’t have an electric/hybrid car and won’t be buying one in the next few years...

Ok, that’s roughly what I thought too. So really fully cover the north roof as well, right? He also told me he could put 3-4 kWp on the north roof (but presumably the extra cost for fully covering it is not worth it)

My brother has the SMA with the last photovoltaic system. It is significantly better than, for example, the Zappi that we have at our townhouse. The Zappi currently does not switch between 1- and 3-phase. I would also wait for subsidies again... but will they ever come back??

Yes. In winter, you'll be glad about that.

And we look forward to your photos! Especially if you implement it with a metal roof! ;-)

: even if no funding comes, maybe the charging station will get cheaper... or in the future we will have money again :)

: Photos are definitely coming! However, I am still not sure about the metal roof. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any testimonials or photos from others about it. My wife doesn't want it because she's afraid it will look stupid if the modules don't cover the entire roof... :-/

You don't have to choose an ugly (white) hall roof. In anthracite, no one notices it. With photovoltaics, it then looks seamless. Among other things, because the photovoltaics then lie flatter.

But yes - unfortunately, I can't offer experience with residential buildings either. Only with (not-so-pretty) factory and warehouse halls. Planning it all from scratch for a new building would be my dream right now. Really perfectly matching the roof area and the windows to the modules... ah.
